VANESSA VERMAAK
(PR.SCI.NAT), REGISTRATION NO. 400283/08; MSC. ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, BSC. HONS. GEOLOGY (WITS).
Vanessa has 14 years of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and consulting experience in both the geological and environmental industries. Vanessa is a multi-disciplinary scientist with a background in both the environmental and geological fields of study. This is reflected in her core interests and specialisations which include mine water contamination, wetlands and the integration of environmental and earth science data to understand a system holistically. Other experience includes water monitoring, sampling and analysis, GIS, mineral tenure and environmental and water use authorisations.
Vanessa is a founding member of the South African Wetland Society, and a member of the Geological Society of South Africa and the Gauteng Wetland Forum.
ROMY ANTROBUS-WUTH
MSC. GEOGRAPHY & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, BSC. HONS. ENVIRONMENT, ECOLOGY & CONSERVATION (WITS)
Romy has 10 years’ experience in GIS in both the geological and environmental industries and 7 years experience in the environmental consulting industry compiling Environmental Impact Assessments and Management Plans. Romy’s core interests and specialisations include water quality assessments, management plans for activities and developments within protected areas and biodiversity and environmental risk mapping. Romy also works for BirdLife South Africa’s Important Bird and Biodiversity Area Programme.
